This is an idea that I had for sometime... I have the 18 inch weber and it's too small when trying to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. I end up having to take the grill out and put the bird (in a roasting pan) down on the coal grill.. I also use some tin foil as a shield from the coals. It works out pretty good for rigging it up... The rib hanging system would allow for the room to keep the bird on the top grill and have the top cover on the unit...

It basically turns the kettle into a Weber Smokey Mountain

I added the gasket tape and smoked ribs yesterday. Works fantastic. No smoke seeping from the lid even with three probe wires.

Pulled the trigger for my FIL on the Venom. Also got the gasket tape.

Hopefully it works out well.

Between my vortex and Venom my grill can peg out over 700 degrees. It's insane. I did ribs last night at 380 for an hour. Came out great. I grill or smoke most days since getting it.
