That's a good friend of mine, my neighbor bought 70 lbs boiled from them last weekend and said they were some of the best they've had.

Yeah, my mom got 35 lbs. from him yesterday for her Pokeno night last night. He really does a great job. They are nice size, taste great, easy to peel and priced reasonably. Not to mention they are close to me.

Where is Buck's? And who owns it? Leonards? I thought I heard they opened a place.

Just a drive through or sit down? Everybody has a boiling house these days except for me. There is another one going up in Duson that will be a sit down. They will miss most of the season though because it won't be built in time. It also caused a feud between the guy opening it and another one. They don't talk to each other anymore. I find it all pretty funny.

Yeah. Lamm isn't happy about it. Thinks it's gonna steal business from Ridge Rd.

Another factor on the price: fewer people go out and catch their own. I'm so damn old I can remember when pond crawfish were just becoming a "thing"...most of the time, you & yours went out with set nets, a package of "melt", a long pole, and a sixpack if you wanted to eat crawfish. Catch your own, and the price is still really cheap.

...... I think we all might know each other

I don't know how much anything will hurt Crawfish Time. It has almost a cult following.

We do this every year after Easter. The kids love it.

I hate it when you pull up a net and there's a 4 foot cotton mouth staring at you

It's not stealing if you own the property.
