I don't know, but that looks pretty good. I am gonna transcribe it this afternoon and build one in the next couple of weeks.

Alton Brown shows how to do this on one episode of Good Eats.

I made one Rouge. It works well. Do not put too many wood chunks or chips and the heat build up is manageable.

update
Wal-Mart was really only good for the thermometer and pan to hold wood
I was able to find one hot plate at the grocery store
Home Dept and Lowe's had grills and pot bottoms, but not pot tops
will work on it tomorrow to see if i can complete the pieces

Something a little different. Home Depot sells an electric BBQ pit by Char Broil. It's round and blue and uses ceramic bricks and a coil. I had two of them over the years and those babies cooked the best chicken you could do. Not much for a steak but fowl was great on it. Bout two hundred.

I think 16". But can't recall. Buy the grill first and make sure it fits the inside rim of the ceramic pot.
