I bought a WSM 18" this spring and it is like having an outdoor oven. Very easy to control temps.

I’ve got the big Weber kettle. Snake method has been foolproof. And I’ve had a big offset smoker in the past. It was great but eventually rusted out. Weber keeps on going.

I started with a Masterbuilt electric smokehouse. I used that thing all the time and eventually the element gave out. I upgraded to a xtra wide MB propane and learned on it until the bottom fell out(3 to 4 years) . It helped me learn about cuts of meat, rubs, sauces, wrap/no wrap. I wouldn’t hesitate to have another one.

If you think you want a pellet smoker I’d recommend a RECTEC. Little pricey, but really well made with excellent customer service. Easy to use. Smoking meat in minutes.
