Sirloin Steak Bites

Our Keto Diet continues. However, I have no plans to not eat good food. This dish features sirloin steak, cut into bite sized pieces and marinated in a flavorful marinade, then quickly seared in a hot-hot skillet, leaving the bites medium rare and full of moisture and flavor. The finished dish was accompanied by a Romaine salad with raspberry balsamic dressing.

The recipe for this dish was slightly modified from a
Karly-That-Low-Carb-Life recipe. The wife (MHNBPF) said I had to share the credit for this dish with that site, so I did. I have no problem with that, because it is a really good beef dish, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Per serving: 489 calories, 44g fat, 23g protein, 1g carbs, 0g fiber = 1 net carb.

Prep Time 15 minutes
Marinating Time 3 hours
Cook time 5 minutes
Total Time 3 hours and 20 minutes
Makes 2 Servings:

Ingredients for the Steak Bites

1 pound New York Strip
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon mustard
2 teaspoons ground pepper
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon rosemary

Ingredients for the Garlic Butter

1/4 cup butter
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon minced parsley

Directions:

1. Dice the steak into bite-sized pieces.

2. Whisk together the hot water and salt until the salt is nearly dissolved. Then add the oil and spices.

3. Mix well, then place the steak bites into the marinade bag and mix well to make sure everything is coated with marinade.

4. Seal the bag and marinate for 30 minutes to 8 hours. I did 4 hours.

5. When ready to cook, heat a skillet over high heat with a tablespoon of oil.

6. Drain the marinade from the steak and pat the steak bites dry.

7. Add to the hot skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked to your liking.

8. To make the garlic butter, melt the butter in a small bowl and whisk in the minced garlic, garlic salt, and parsley.

9. I made a nice salad to go with the steak pieces.

10. Serve garlic butter over the steak.

Thanks for looking at my post.

Way to leave us hanging...no fork shot.

Kidding aside, I was hoping to see the inside of one of those tidbits. Looks good.
