Schweinshaxe - where to get pork shanks.

I'm looking for whole, fresh, untrimmed ham shanks in Cenla and can't find anyone who even claims that they can get them. Does anyone know where they can be purchased?

Maybe a good meat market like Juneau's Cajun Meats? I imagine those places sell smoked ham hocks and I can't see why they wouldn't sell you a couple of fresh ones. It's at least worth asking about.

Not sure where to get one, but if you get a chance, make Stinco di Maiale. Had it Italy over the summer and it is one of the best dishes I have ever had, probably lots of ways to do it too, just haven't had a chance to do it myself yet, but it's on the list.
