Without distributing I hope they put a few guest taps like Courtyard does.

Actually, I'm pretty sure microbreweries make the majority of their profits from taproom sales. It's a lot cheaper to cut out the middle man and serve directly from the tap to the customers than it is to bottle, package, and distribute.

Here's a supporting article, for fun.

LINK

quote:

“It’s quite profitable to serve beer at $6 a glass, rather than fighting for shelf or tap handle placement…for a much smaller margin,” says Steve Kurowski, marketing director for the Colorado Brewers Guild. With over 17 years of experience in Denver’s craft beer industry, Kurowski, who knows that the profit margin for a packaging brewer could be as low as 8%, is now an outspoken supporter of the direct-to-consumer movement. As he puts it, selling a keg for $150 to a retailer middleman such as a bar simply makes little sense when that same keg can fetch $600 in the brewer’s own tasting room.

Downtown went through so many phases. Now it’s hipster territory

Nah downtown is ghetto after 8 pm. Something needs to be done about the homeless and loiters before people like me will return

You can thank Troy Hebert for that. He closed down bars on the Northside for violations and a lot of the patrons of those places moved downtown to loiter and rob regular folk.
