Anyone have advice on good sausage casings to use? I tried the Dewied Hog Casings this weekend and they split really easily as I was stuffing them.

check out LINK for natural or synthetic casings.

I get mine from there in the natural casing type so they can be cooked and eaten, unlike the synthetic ones that have to be removed before eating.

ETA: you can also look at this site and I've used them too over the years with good results.

I got my last casings from them and will likely use them again when I need more.

I just sue the lil bags I get from most any grocery store. I make sausage in small 10 lb batches since its just the wife and I. I do not case my breakfast sausage just use the smallest tube I have and squeese it out uncased.
