NOLAsmokehouse is always on point everytime I've been which is just about every Sunday. Pork is ok but I think the brisket is good and I like the vingery sauces. When he does smoked pork belly with the sesame sauce it's a must get.

Maybe I'll try it again some time. The undercooked brisket really turned me off though.

It was damn good. I was really disappointed when they shut down at Dante's since it was right by my house.

I'll give 12 Mile a try. Buddy of mine pimps it often.

12more.. you live close to Squeal then huh? What do you think of that place?

I think Fat Hen is honestly probably the best BBQ I've had here. Outside of what I had at Taylor Park for Super Sunday.

I've only eaten there twice and the most recent trip was 3 years ago. From what I remember, it was the mediocre bbq typically found in New Orleans. I seem to remember their brisket being garbage but I enjoyed the pulled pork and chicken.

I was right out of LSU at the time so anything different from the swill I was used to in BR probably made me happy.

12 Mile

I pass by every Sat/Sun morning on the way to Finn's but I haven't been since they first opened. The bbq was pretty good and the cocktails were excellent. I think it was a bartender from Coquette, maybe Lilette that wanted high end cocktails with a dive bar atmosphere.

I always laugh when my friends talk about how sketchy the area is, yet have no problem walking several blocks back to their car from Finn's.

I ate at Saucys when it was in Metairie, didn't think it was anything special. I also didn't notice a very good smoke flavor in anything I had over there.
