Rum drinkers may laugh but if you're just looking to use the rum as a mixer in cocktails, you can't beat Admiral Nelson. It's like $15 for a handle and beats the shite out of Capt. Morgan, which is what you'd get in most restaurant mixed drinks.

If you're looking for a sipper, don't buy Admiral Nelson. Rum (thankfully) is still pretty moderately priced when compared to your high end tequilas and bourbons.

Castillo gold is the off brand/production of PR Bacardi.
Usually a good well.
For juices... either Castillo white, or
CANE RUM, great value.
