I have given up on trying to recreate my Grandmothers oyster dressing so I took the easy way out this year and just ordered a pan from Rouse's. Has anyone tried the oyster dressing from Rouse's? Any good?

If you're around the NOLA area, skip Rouse's and drive down to Williams Seafood in Kenner. Their's is the best I've ever had. My brother brings it to near every holiday gathering.

Unfortunately that is not an option as I am in BR.

Capital City Crawfish on Government Street sometimes does a rice-based oyster dressing that's pretty good. Call them up and see if they're doing it this year.

I have too. It is the one recipe I wish I had. I've searched and searched and haven't found one picture that looks remotely similar.

My problem is I'm the only one who asks for it. Nobody else eats it.

My brother has made it for our house for about four years. God I hope he makes it for tomorrow
