Not for me. It's my entree. Roast is the side. I fix a bowl of rice and gravy, heavy on the gravy, just like I do gumbo. Sometimes, I chop up some roast and throw it in.

I like both and will eat both at any time. Two of my favorite meals.

You tell em. I really wanted the opinion of Acadiana and not Monroe.

Rice and gravy is like water or bread. It's something you have every day.

Gumbo is a once a week or once a month sort of thing.
