Looking to have a guys’ night out in Nola before Mardi Gras season. Last one we did was in the upstairs private room at August. Looking to do something similar, but have been out of touch with the dining scene in the city.

Any recommendations? Never been to Meril, but it’s on the radar. Is Commander’s still a reputable place? I know they can definitely accommodate large parties.

Upstairs at Clancys might be an option

La Boca
We did La Boca one year already. It’s definitely an option if we can’t find something new.

In the past, we usually hit up Harrah’s afterwards, but wouldn’t mind a change of scenery. I mentioned Dos Jefes for cigars and cocktails. Or even Nola brewery or urban south. We are in our upper 30’s, so something low key.

Meril is good but i've only sat at the bar so not sure what the situation is regarding large table groups. Cochon is an option as they have sectioned area(s) for large tables. 12-14 isn't crazy so I'm sure most places could set you up with this much advance.

Charlie's steakhouse is a perfect place for 12-14 guys.

Commander's is booked through next year on parties of 14 or larger.

Then my I suggest Palm & Pine for a dinner in their private dining room, The Rampart Room.

I’d bet Tableau in the Quarter could handle that quite easily
