Yes, try not to be there during a nuclear exchange.

Bar Taco at The Wharf is delicious. Excellent lobster or pork belly tacos for a decent price. Good drinks too. 5-10 minute Uber ride from the Capitol Hill area.

Went to the Wharf on Friday.. Lots of fresh seafood, fish, lobster, crabs, clams.. incredible.

Alot of great pubs to hang out and have a beer and catch the sunset view.
There were National Guard troops stationed on every block between the Capitol parade grounds and the Wharf. It was very safe.

Not sure if you were looking for fine dining, but this restaurant is great. Georgetown area. The bar is great too. Around the corner is the house where the Exorcist was filmed.

Had a great time in Old Town Alexandria last year.

Old Town is fantastic. My sister and her husband live right off King. Great area to eat, drink, and meander around.

No matter the location, every bartaco I've been to makes a fantastic margarita. Juices are squeezed fresh, which helps minimize gut rot. I go to the one here in Chicago a decent amount during the summer months.

Georgetown has some good Ethiopian restaurants. When I travel, I like to try things I can’t get near home, and this was my culinary new experience on my first visit. Use injera bread as utensils.
