I would like to start frying turkeys. I thought maybe Bayou Classic stainless steel pot with SP10 burner, which is like 57,000 BTUs.

But I'm reading a bunch of bad reviews on Amazon, about these being made in China and people having problems with pinholes in the pots, etc. I don't want to deal with that crap.

What brand can I trust?

This is what I had originally considered:
bayou classic

When did you buy yours? I wonder if they changed where the manufacturing has been done in recent years?

Here's a link to Amazon for the pot and the complaints about holes.

I bought mine summer of ‘17, didn’t have a hole. Had not complaints for what I paid and what I use it for...

I checked my pot for a name and all I can find is "Cajun Injector" on the thermometer that came with the kit. It is an aluminum pot big enough for me to comfortably fry turkeys up to the 15 lb. range------which is the max I like to fry anyway. I did fry one 18 lb. bird many years ago but had to adjust the time and temperature to get it right.

I've had that thing for about 20 years and have fried over 100 turkeys in that time with no issues. Also, the thermometer that came with it states "Made In China" so I'll assume the entire rig was made there too.

At this point, it ain't pretty, but still going strong.
