Question for the experts...

I've been looking for a good shrimp boil routine and the search brought me to this site. I need some advice and I figure that I'll just ask the pros on here!
I'm taking over the cooking duties this year and I just decided that if we were going to do this, then I want to know how to do it right. Potatoes and corn shouldn't be steamed separate and there's nothing worse than bland, overcooked shrimp...so, that's what I want to avoid.
Here's my question:
If you were cooking for 10 people and a few kids, what all would you throw in your pot and how much of it? I'm guessing I'll need about 10-12 lbs of shrimp (?), but what else? What kind of seasoning and vegetables? And, how long do you let each addition boil before you toss in the shrimp. Feel free to be specific!
Any advice is appreciated and thanks in advance!

With shrimp keep it simple. Butter, salt, crab boil and some creole/cajun seasoning (you can make your own or just use tony's, slap ya momma.. etc.)
Let water boil for a few minutes so the seasoning can dissolve.
I would probably get more like 20 lbs though. You would be surprised how quick they go.

+1
Add much more seasoning than you would to boil crawfish. I would bring water to a boil, drop in shrimp, turn off fire, leave shrimp in water no more than a minute or two and quickly chill shrimp to stop cooking process.
Shrimp can be very tricky to do.

Interesting...20 lbs of headless shrimp even with corn, potatoes, etc. cooking, too? I've always heard/bought a pound per person. Well, there ya go...I've been wrong from the first step!
I've gotcha on the butter, salt, and crab boil, but how much crab boil and seasoning do you put in for 20 lbs of shrimp? Also, if you're tossing in potatoes and corn, won't they absorb a good bit of the seasoning? I think this is where things normally go wrong, because there never seems to be enough flavor to the shrimp.

I use Zats powder. Add lemons. Add sausage, taters, corn, mushrooms, the same stuff you use with your crawfish. I bring to a hard boil, throw in the scrimps, bring back to a boil for 1 minute, shut the fire off and soak for about 5-7 minutes.
