Opie, I'm reading your technique for seasoning a large cast iron pot. Couple of questions...how much water do you initially boil? Full pot? Half pot?
Also, after you let oil catch fire...how long do you let it burn?

Anyone have a link to this? I have a pot that has been smoking every time I use recently. I am hoping I can salvage it.
