Mini-rant:

Anybody think these food labels are accurate? I always question local food companies and nutrition labels. With pork being the first ingredient, and crawfish and shrimp having similar nutrition, how can the crawfish one be 15g fat per serving and the shrimp one be 4.5g fat per serving. More than likely both are ~15g fat and 180cals per serving.

Likewise, Richard's boudin claimed 2g carbs per serving. It's mostly rice. How can that possibly be accurate? Every other brand store-bought boudin is between 12-17g carbs for same serving size.

Truth Behind Calorie Counts

Interesting video. No, they are likely not entirely accurate. There's no verification process. Or, at least, there wasn't when the video was made 3 years ago.

good vid, but measuring something like Chipotle is useless because it depends on the scoop of the guy making the burrito. Very arbitrary toppings. The store bought items with the fixed serving and the labels are most alarming. THat muffin though

Yeah have no clue how Richard's is labeled 2g of carbs. It really is mostly rice.

For sure. The store bought items were what really surprised me. Especially that sandwich.

we've been all over the announcement, but I don't think anyone has spotted any new flavors in the wild in the NOLA/BR area. Please report here if you do.

Yeah...just looked at their twitter

When you stock up on that new new. Head to your local @Kroger Family Store to #ScoopItUp!

Maybe they're only at Kroger currently?

Should I tweet for the first time in years and ask them when their new flavors are hitting Rouses and Whole Foods?

ETA:

quote:

@hannah_leigh24 They should be at most Kroger and Kroger affiliated stores shortly and rolling out generally over the next weeks/months

We may be waiting a while.

I'm glad you're feeling better!

To clarify, I do not weigh 115. Lol. I'm 6'2". That would be a BMI of 14. My scale has jokes.

I've been maintaining since my rapid loss earlier this month, and I'm happy with that. I'm going to start making more of an effort to diet again soon. I tend to lose in punctuated amounts, dropping several lbs, then maintaining for a period as my body adjusts.
