I am a fan of Iverstine Farms and what they do in regards to what they do when it comes to raising pigs, cows, and chickens. Their meats are always top notch (especially their pork and chicken), but they are located on the opposite side of town from me, and being a small butcher shop, it's a complete guess as it what they'll have in stock when I arrive.

I was on Instagram last week and noticed they are doing a monthly butcher bundle. Once a month, they will deliver to your door 10-13 pounds of meat selected by them. It's a way to try some new things while also having the meat delivered to you. I put in an order ($134 for one month; $125 if you subscribe) and my bundle was delivered yesterday.

For my order, I was given a "free" pack of their southwest meat sticks, so that was nice. The order was in a huge insulated tote, packed with dry ice. All contents were frozen. I received:

- 1 pack of Pork Green Onion Sausage
- 4.5 pound Chuck Roast
- 1 pound Flat Iron Steak
- 1.15 pound Ground Beef
- 8 Breakfast Sausage Patties
- 4 1-pound Pork Chops
- 16 oz of Beef Broth
- 1 Whole Chicken (3-4 pounds)

I totaled up my order and with tax I'd have spent about $170 in the store for all of this. So I feel like I got my value and then some. I realize this meat is expensive but I don't mind paying more for the quality.

Anyway, just wanted to pass along this information to the Food & Drink Board.

I like the idea of the butcher bundle, but I don't want beef broth as part of a bundle. Can you customize what you receive, or is it luck of the draw?

Looks to be luck of the draw and what they want to include. The beef broth was a good add for me because I’m making deer chili this weekend.

Yeah. Real beautiful marbled rib chops. Can't wait to grill them.

Sadly no, but agree it's great stuff. Now when you do order the bundle it gives you about 20 items you can add on, with the Flying Hawaiian Sausage being one of them. Next time I'll be adding it to the order.
