I’m a casual user looking for a quality propane burner for some crawfish boils (60-100qt) and some frying fish etc.
Tired of cheap crap rusting out, so thinking SS. What minimum/max BTU should I consider?
What are pros and cons of higher BTU?
What type is best? Jet vs. banjo vs. other types etc?
Just looking for ideas and opinions...

Ive had a bayou classic single jet for 10 + years, not stainless steel. It’s only had some minor rust and it cost me like $40. I upgraded the regulator to a 30 psi recently and it can get a 100 quart pot boiling in 10-15 min. It’s all I need for what I do and can’t complain. I’m very pleased with the upgraded regulator.
If you are mainly doing crawfish, you’ll want a jet burner. Whatever you do, consider upgrading your regulator before going double jet.

There's not a single burner that boils 100qt pot and frys fish worth a crap.
Get a double jet AND a banjo burner
