Prime Beef

Is it just me or is there a lot more prime beef available nowadays?
"Only about two percent of all beef graded by the USDA qualifies for Prime distinction."
Yet I'm seeing it everywhere. Like every grocery store has it.
Usually you only see it in high-end restaurants. Did the supply of Prime beef quadruple or something? Did they lower grading standards?

I agree with this
I see some stuff labeled as "usda prime" at Costco compared to calandros and it just doesn't look like the same meat
The stuff at Calandros has so much more marbling

I see it regularly at Rouse's and the marbling looks very legit.
