I am craving pho something serious. I'll have to hit up Pho Tau Bay. I don't know why, but pho is the only soup that I ever actually crave. I don't know what's in it that makes me crave it. There are tons of foods that I really like, but I don't crave them all. The main foods that I really crave are...

oysters
crawfish
steak
pho

Me too. I will be having it for lunch tomorrow. I started feeling the craving about 2:30 today. I really have to have it almost weekly.

I generally go to Kim Ahn's in Harahan. It is a two minute drive from work. I go at eleven and have the place to myself. After 11:45 the place is jammed every day.

pho tau bay and kim anh are the two best pho's that I have found in the area.

I actually ate there for the first time last week.

It was definitely solid, but I like having the choice of more meat ingredients than just the sliced beef and meatballs, which they offer.

Pho Tau Bay is good. Pho Bang on the Westbank and the Pho place next to Hong Kong Market (I don't know it's name offhand) might actually be better.

They do a chicken, but the Pho Tai is much more flavorful. What other meats are looking for?

I like Pho Bang too...but I think Pho Tau Bay is just a little better.

Just realized we have a Saigon in Jackson. What is the best type of pho to try if I've never had it? Beef?

I've grown to be a big fan of the tripe.

I don't really care for any chicken version I've tried, either.

I would crawl over glass to try that. Where is this available? Ox tail as well.

Enlighten me a little on this. My co-worker was trying to tell me about it as well.

Most of the big Pho houses will have it (I know the three I've referenced above do). It's sometimes called something else on the menu, but I can't recall what exactly.

I often just order the combination Pho, which comes with a bit of everything beef.

I've heard that they try and steer the white people away from ordering that type of stuff. I will have to hit the Wank and demand it.
