Fresina's on Jefferson Hwy/Drusilla. He's got some good stuff.

I'll add Maxwell's and Fresh Market to that list. Fresh Market has a nice selection.

Real Parmigiano does not come on a can.

Go to Anthoneys Deli in BR and get you some good Parmigiano-Reggiano. Then hide it from your 18 year old future chef son who will use $20 worth in one dish.

The aging process and salt content of Parm removes almost every bit of moisture in it, as a result there is almost no bacterial growth possible in/on it. It will just dry out in the frig more over time.
