Parish Pilsner tastes sour?

I've had a few Parish Pilsners since tailgating started back up, and since then I've noticed they've been tasting more sour than what I remember them. Has anyone else had this or is this just my local Total Wine?

I mean, it's a pilsner so it'll be hoppy.
Do they taste like they have gone bad?

Well, total wine does not keep the freshest stock of beer. In fact, i've had a hard time finding anything dated within the past 8 months over there. It's likely, they've been sitting on that pilsner since last year. There should be a date on the cans that will help. That being said, age shouldn't make it taste sour, however, Parish's pilsner is not a traditional pilsner. I don't know how they make it, but they recycle that recipe for every "special" pilsner release. So the parish pilsner is also their mardi gras pilsner, and anytime they have a special release pilsner, it's the same recipe. My guess i they use Kveik yeast in order to get a quick turnaround on the pilsner. Which you can make a kveik "pilsner" but in my opinion, you can tell the difference. Not as crisp, clean, or light as using traditional lager yeast. Maybe age does something with the yeast or grain bill, or maybe it's just infection. They do make some quick sours there, so the souring bacteria is present in the brewery.
