Oysters on the half shell

I’ve often wondered that. I eat 2 and still would like more.

I think 5-6 dozen but I might just be fooling myself.

I don’t use crackers so that’s a big factor.

I ate 5 dozen at the Mohawk in Monroe one night.

Went out back to the rest room and puked my guts out.

I am in the other camp. Never tasted a Pacific oyster I liked. And I've eaten many. I love Oysters from the entire Eastern seaboard and the Gulf. Will likely never buy a West Coast oyster again.

I have cleared 5 or 6 dozen many a time when younger...three dozen is probably all I've eaten in a sitting the past 10 years.

I got 2 dozen there yesterday. I only ate about half because my 10 yo kid is really stepping up his oyster eating game. They were some great oysters.

I had five at Felix’s with my 150 lb 75 year old father in law standing next to me and he ate 9. Old man can eat and he loves Felix’s as do I.

Really?
I had some in port Townsend in Washington and they tasted fine but not better than a gulf oyster.
Had some blue points in cape cod that were great..
But again... that muddy flavor in gulf oysters just taste better to me.
