Apparently all the down voters who must know more about Maine lobster than anyone here can’t seem to press Google and do a little research on current price and why.

Weather, smaller fleet, global demand, glut of 2012. It has a lot of reasons much like those of us in Louisiana wondering why we pay upwards of $4.00 lb for boiled crawfish.
I can go down the good old days list and remember paying $.10 lb for crawfish at Camp Bayou Corne but not many people outside of a 20 mile radius of there even ate boiled crawfish.
Enjoy the $15.00 lobster roll in Baton Rouge and be thankful even if it is frozen spiny lobster. Or hop on a plane to the Northeast.
