1-3 oz of bourbon (depending on level of manliness.)
2-3 dashes of angostura bitters over sugar cubes. Couple slivers of orange peel. These can be muddled. Orange slices can be used but NOT muddled. Peels can be mashed to express oils.
Cherry. Make sure to drip some of juice into glass. Do not muddle cherry. Just rough if up a bit, but don't smash it.
Add ice to muddled contents. Add liquor. Stir. I've received them shaken a few times.
The drink in OP sounds delicious but in no way sounds like an old Fashioned.
Sounds like an OF, mojito, and martini had a baby.
