They are all over NC, especially down east where they started. The original name was Andy’s but they could not use that nationally so they changed to Hwy 55 - after the road that goes through the town where their corporate HQ are.
Their hamburgers are good, similar to Five Guys I guess. FG’s probably a little better.
They have very good chees steak sandwiches. They used to have a very good chicken cordon blue sandwich but for some reason they quit offering those. They also have a few menu items that are not sandwiches but I don’t get those.
They have made a lot of changes since they expanded out of NC.
Most, if not all their places, have a 1950’s theme; sorta the malt shop concept. You can see your food being cooked behind the counter; it is not cooked in a kitchen in the back.
