Went tonight w/ gf. Started with pork n shrimp spring rolls and pork steam buns 
Spring rolls were good but smaller than what I've had. The pork bun fell short of good. The bun was not fresh and the pork and veggies were very shy. Now I know they can't compare to Momofuku's pork buns but they were still meh.
For our entrees I got the pork vermicelli and she got the tofu pho wih beef broth. Portions were both large but the quality fell short. They both had the same ingredients you would find at magasin or Lilly's but I just felt the quality wasn't there. The veggies were very average and mint wasn't the Vietnamese kind I was used to.
Overall it was good but not the wow I had hoped. Knowing it just opened I will definitely give it another try. They do have a shrimp bahn mi that I'm curious about.

What was the menu like?
The West Bank location has an extremely extensive selection. They even claim to have shark fin soup on it. Sound slike they mailed the FQ one in

It'll likely be pan sautéed soft shells with a helluva pan sauce, or a damn good steak, seared and basted with a browned butter herb sauce. What you want me to cook Gladys? I'm naming the thread after you.

I hate to derail whatever the hell kind of pissing contest that's going on in this thread, but I'm really disappointed that they didn't keep the same menu. I guess it would be incredibly difficult to pull off in that space though. I'm curious to see if they make it there. The whole appeal for me has always been the insane variety you can get when you go with a big group.
