If you want a hidden gym that is more like old New York Italian, try Manducati's Rustica in Long Island City. It's a subway stop south of downtown in Queens. Beautiful view of Manhattan to enjoy on the walk. Manducati's Rustica makes their own pasta and all their ingredients are fresh, including the ones in their homemade gelato.

Two favorite hamburgers:
If you're in the area of the Lower 60's, between 2nd and 3rd avenue, Jackson Hole Gourmet Burgers and fries is at 64th btwn 2nd and 3rd.
Trump Tower also has a great burger 5th Ave btwn 56 and 57th Streets.
