i've never used any of the premix dry bags that really are "nothing to mix"...they all need salt and liquid boil

IDK about salt but yeah its good to add extra stuff. In a bind though you could get away with just the bag/jar.

Definitely don’t need salt with Louisiana 
I do add liquid and last year I started adding a bag of Chackbay, and it’s pretty good.
