Incredibly cheesy but not a bad place to stop while you’re doing the freedom trail.

The OP is specifically doing a beer tour so I definitely would advise against using part of the one day in Boston to go to Beantown

The recs so far pretty much cover all the hot spots we hit during the fall. I would suggest finding a way to include Hill Farmstead. Nothing convenient about it, but it’s worth it. If you need a ride, you’ll have to arrange it ahead of time, as there will be no Uber/Lyft around. They at least have several very low ABV pours.

Maybe it was the hangover, but the north-of-Portland breweries were skippable to me, including Maine Beer Co. Allagash area was cool - 5 breweries within a short walk. Lots of good eats in Portland, but don’t sleep on the Detroit pizza at Foundation if you find yourself loitering around those 5 stops for a bit.

Sounds like an epic trip!
