Going this weekend. Not opposed to BBQ, but not Rendezvous. Been there, done that.

Had a suggestion for Itta Bena and it looks pretty good, but curious if I’m missing something.

eta: Want to stick around downtown.

I like Flight better than Itta Bena but IB is still good. Central BBQ downtown is good or BBQ Shop in midtown. Majestic is a nice spot for brunch.

Blues City is a good stop for food as well. Try the gumbo fries when you’re drunk.

Catherine & Mary’s is another great Italian spot downtown with a really cool building.

Grey Canary is cool and really nice. It’s connected to the Old Dominick distillery.

Nicer places:
- Flight if you can get in
- Itta Bena is good
- McEwen’s has a wine menu worth checking out if you are a wine drinker

Nicer but still casual:
- Spindini on South Main

Really casual and good:
- Aldo’s pizza
- Central BBQ (barbecue nachos on house-made chips)
- Grecian Gourmet if you like Greek food
- South of Beale (menu can be hit or miss but their Brussels sprouts with bacon keep them on the list)

Brunch:
- Majestic is amazing (good for lunch or dinner to but def for brunch)

As others have said I like Flight a lot. Itta Bena was really good though too IMO. Only complaint was how dark it was inside, but I am not a fan of the trend of having restaurants be in almost darkness.
