It's a bar.

EPIC FAIL

oooh... well excuse me. When I lived there over 10 years ago there was a bar called Antoons out on the bypass around town. It's owned by some guy, Johnny Antoon. Looks like he opened a restaurant as well.

Savor your "victory."

Facts:

Antoon, a 1968 graduate of Northwestern, owns Antoon’s Package Liquor Store, The Student Body and Antoon’s Riverfront Restaurant. The Store opened in 1975, and the Student Body has been in business since 1982. In that time, numerous students have helped pay for their college education by working for Antoon.

It actually was just a bar until 2 years ago when he bought the italian joint. Food's pretty good...

for Natchitoches.

Also, Duqueno's(sp?)on front street was decent, but kinda expensive.
Landing, Mariner, Pioneer pub all ok, most everything in the city was Cisco type food.

Holy shite, blast from the homecooked gut busting past. I loved that place when I was up there, just had to take a nap after lunch.

I'm actually kinda missing Snatchitoches.

My choices would be, in no particular order:

Papa's
Mama's
Cane River Bar & Grill
Antoon's on the River
Mariner's
Hanna - Sp? (Sushi place that's pretty good)

Just for lunch:
Merci Beaucoup
La Farine (Downtown bakery, w/ very good sandwich lunch)
Almost Home

Ducournau is closed. Hanna is now at that location.
