Yeah that's about what I suspected.

Man that's going to start hurting after a few months if they can't lure in more business. I'd be shocked if they are doing much more than 40-50k/month in sales right now. I'm not sure how well they do for lunches since I've never been there for lunch.
I understand the whole idea of a soft opening, but BR restaurants that have tried the "soft opening' have not fared well. I think you've got to hit the ground running and create a buzz with an unknown business in a town where people like their comfort spots. They offer a needed product on that side of town, but nobody likes going to a sports bar and being one of the only tables in the place. It just creates a boring environment. They need some sort of hook right now to bring people in and get people talking about it. Word of mouth aint doing it.

The entire alter thing is weird and a little sad. The fact that you guys are convinced that I'm an alter and that somehow I'd be worried about being "outed" is funny and very sad.

I'm very surprised at the love the food at this place is getting on here. I thought it couldn't have been more average. Burger was a solid five. I sat at the bar, and got good, attentive service. Place had cold beer. Atmosphere blows, and food is eh.

yeah, I had the same impression when I went

I would imagine they have a pretty decent lease and probably adjustable on the downside for a period if need be and even a way out. The owner of the center wants the place to survive as much as the owner of the restaurant.

I tell you a cool little spot that I like is in Perkins Rowe where that little Fish City was next to the theater. I wish someone would open something nice in it. Small, good location regarding the layout of Perkins Rowe and just an overall cool joint. Like a really good local oysterbar or something. Seems that would be a place that they would deal on and it's already built out. I guess all the lawsuits will have to settle before someone takes it over and gets aggressive.

That's good. It's a great location and I'm glad it's not another national chain.

Yeah that would be nice. A place like Luke in New Orleans would be spot on.

I'm independent. Like independent George. I click my heals.

Not sure what Fish City was paying but if you could get in I imagine you could negotiate a good lease with them right now. Any money coming is is better than no money. Luke like place would be nice. Maybe a little upscale but nice.
