My go-to was always the Shrimp Norman. As some have already said, they have the best fried shrimp.

Everyone used to dog Mikes here, what changed? I always liked it... had my wedding rehearsal dinner there, we didn’t have a bridal party just best man/woman so we invited all of our friends and family there... had a great time

I was thinking the same...I've never dogged Mike's. Always liked that place. The addition of the patio was a much needed renovation though.

Mike’s used to be my go to meal every time I can back to Baton Rouge. We changed to Sammy’s a long time ago because I heard Mike’s had gone to shite like Ralph and Kacoo’s I went to one in Gonzales about 3 years ago and it was horrible. Are they different and has Mike’s gone to shite? Now that Swamy’s has changed ownership, and potentially gotten worse, where should I go when in town?

Apparently mikes again. I went to Rouj creole once and was really impressed but it’s hard to beat LA lagniappe
