Michelin awarded a Bib to a closed restaurant (Kau Ba), misnamed another (Charles), jerked a couple around on invites to the ceremony, etc.

What’s the deal with this place? I went once and really enjoyed the food…the 22% “living wage” crap is off putting and apparently they won’t alter their dishes for any reason. But there seems to be more than just that…I.e some of the comments in here for example. I’ve also heard “their politics” in a few of the reviews but nothing specific. Are they as bat shite lefty as the sandwich guy from NOLA?

They went way fricking overboard during COVID…and openly mock customers on instagram…I mean some probably deserve it, but it’s a bad look as the proprietor(the husband) to be calling Karen and Janet the r word.

I can't stand this shite. It's deceitful. Raise your menu prices so you can pay them better. Otherwise, I'm just not going to tip.

Michelin has pretty much jumped the shark. It’s giving tom fitzmorris trying to stay hip vibes.
