I surely can, and noticed the difference when they tried their switcharoozie in going to New Coke, and then to Coke Classic, as if that was the original thing and nobody would notice. I noticed, as well as everyone I knew noticed that it wasn't the original recipe they had prior to New Coke coming out. The difference was the sugar. It wasn't there. Same thing when I get a Mexican coke and a coke classic today. I can taste the difference immediately. It's sweeter, and just flat out tastes better.

To me, the biggest difference is the mouth feel. Sugar sweetened drinks finish cleaner. They are sweet when you drink them, and then it dissipates. HFCS is like drinking syrup...fake sweetness and then it lingers in your mouth for a long time.
