He just stopped his butchers for two hours to send his knives off to get sharpened.

Now I know I'm not a rocket scientist or djrunner but I do believe if I was in his business I would have at least one extra set of knives for just such an occasion.

I do like the tomahawk steaks though.

You gotta pull some shite like that to add drama to steak cutting...

Not for me. Just get rid of that shite and let me watch them cut the steaks.

Wife and I were just commenting on that part. Seemed too coincidental that all the knives went dull at the same time.

And I agree, the tomahawks were awesome-looking.

There's something about the folks on that show that leads me to think that a lot of the stuff is scripted.

I feel the same way. I assume the meat packing industry can't be too exciting so they have to script some things to spice it up.

Well since they had cameras in the two restaurants that "all of the sudden needed steaks" confirmed it for me.

Plus if I had to listen to those three screaming all day, especially the old man, I'd sink a dull knife in one of thems chest. That would drive me up the wall.

Maybe they will show when Benny No Neck comes in and collects the juice.

I don't mind a little bit of that here and there. But when they try to start turning things that shouldn't into dramas, it gets old quick.

If it's on TV, it's scripted.

It's reality TV. Of course it's scripted.

Butchers don't have that much excitement. The most exciting thing about Sam the Butcher's day was when he had to deliver to the Bradys' house and might catch a glimpse of Alice's knee.

They're butchers, not F1 drivers.

The problem is they are trying to make it reality TV with that shite instead of just making it a series about the business from farm to plate and how it all comes about. Next thing you know they will have Pawn Stars doing cameo apprearances.

Food Network is really sucking and all these shows are bad.

And if I hear that freak say "I'm a sweet genius. Are you?" again I'm going to puke.

He and the cupcake wars guy must share a loft in NY.

It all went downhill when they decided to cancel Good Eats.

This. These new reality shows are horribly scripted. That Restaurant Stakeout one was awful. There was even an article about how fake it was and some of the servers were hired actors to blow shite out of proportion

Well I understand that reality tv isn't really real... But these guys literally sound like bad actors reading a cue card.
