Luxardo cherries - how to store once opened?

Im getting conflicting information - to refrigerate or not is the question.

I'm pretty sure but it says on the jar to not refrigerate. My jar stays in the liquor cabinet

Do not refrigerate. The syrup get very thick & will crystallize after a while, kinda like honey.

Don't refrigerate. Just store it where you store your liquor.

I store them in bourbon...one at a time
