I'd give it about 7 out of 10. We had blacked catfish, fried shrimp dinner, baked redfish (catch of the day) and a special shrimp Heradura(sp) which was very good. It was not really expensive at less than $25 per person but doubt I would try it again. Don't know the Lafayette seafood scene that well but wondering how it will last?

I live in N.O. and have been to the one in Metairie several times and like their food. So, you went to Drago's and didn't get the charbroiled oysters====their signature dish.
Can't really blame you though as I don't really care for oysters in the summer months due to their difference in quality over the fall and winter months.

It's probably the best restaurant that's ever been at that location, but for whatever reason restaurants there don't last.

So you liked the food and thought it wasn’t that expensive, but you wont be going back?

the Lafayette seafood scene
There is none. Some decent places for boiled seafood, but other than that, it's generally a lot of meh.
