We eat there more than a few times a year and think the food is really good. I don't drink wine but it is my understanding that the place probably has one of the best if not the best wine selections around. I can't figure out why that place is located in an hourly rate motel. The bathrooms they have are third world status. Does anyone have any insight as to why they stay in that location?

Has to be dirt cheap rent and, possibly, proximity to casinos.

The location has no other obvious qualities.

Lucky Palace is one of my favorite spots. Duck with scallion pancakes, crispy t-bone, crab rangoons, hot and sour soup

This place was featured on "TrueSouth" on the SEC Network a few weeks ago. I'd never heard of it until then, but I was fascinated at this scenario as well.

They had the Brennan's New Orleans sommelier in and she was saying there were various bottles on his list that she couldn't even get.
