Anyone have one of these and have any advice on a newbie to the Kamado scene? Looking forward to trying my first brisket.

Have you used a Komodo style grill before? If not, my first suggestion would be to start with a butt roast or chicken to get practice on temperature control.

They are incredible cooking machines but they do have a small learning curve.

No, this is my first time using a Kamado. Good call on the Butt Roast. Do you have the Louisiana Grills brand?

The website says they're based in Canada...what's the story there?

First thing I did was St Louis style ribs on a rib rack.

Kamado grills are very simple to use. Dial in the temperature and it will hold for 12 hours. Pretty much set it and forget it.

Yep you just don't want it to get too hot too quickly as it's takes longer to reduce temps.
