So any word on this? I am boiling later and bought one of the citrus and one of the garlic. I plan on doing what I normally do and just add some of this. Wondering how much did y’all add. The bag says to do a half bag. My initial plan was to do a half bag of each but might do a little less.

Yes I meant 16 each. The ratio of citrus juice to water is still extremely low. I have always done them this way and have had no complaints. To each their own. To me citrus compliments any seafood.

Do yourself a favor, and wait to add the citrus after flameout. The oils in lemons/oranges will boil off if added prior to the boil. When you add at flameout, you retain more of the oils in citrus. I learned this trick with hops and homebrewing. Works the same with crawfish.

Boiled 2 sacks saturday. I used about 15 oranges and lemons, divided into 2 sacks. Oh, and squeeze the juice out the citrus. I don't know why, but some people just cut them in half and throw them in the boil.
