Looking to make a chili sauce to top fish with

I have some mahi filets I was going to cook this weekend and was thinking about using some of my chili crisp to make a sauce to top it with
I'd imagine this is easy, but I've never tried something like this before. Any recommendations? I think just dumping the chili crisp sauce on it would be too strong of a flavor but I'm sure it could be used as a base for a more subtle sauce.

My immediate thought is cutting it with something cold and creamy. Like an aioli or Greek yogurt sauce.

I have some Icelandic yogurt on hand that would probably work just as well. I'll do some more googling in the meantime.

I would do chili crisp with garlic puree, sugar, fish sauce, lime juice, little bit water, cilantro. Spicy, sweet/salty, acidic and garlicky. Add that to a pan fried or grilled mahi, you’re set.

That sounds like it could work. I'll try whisking something up in a bowl and see how it comes out

Yeah must mix and adjust your taste. Like more sweetness, add more sugar, fish sauce too salty, add some water. a pic of the final plating would be nice.

If doing fish tacos, mix chili crisp with kewpie, Sriracha, a touch of sesame oil, a dash of rwv, a pinch of hon dashi, and a sprinkle of sugar or honey.
