Smittys is my favorite

Just experienced Smitty's today for the first time.

Absolutely the best brisket I've ever eaten. Even topped J. Mueller's. Crispy bark on the outside and moist on the inside. Tremendous flavor. Didn't use sauce, because it's not necessary. Also, didn't realize the inferno that is present right around the corner as one walks in. Could have been a disaster if I was texting and walking.

Ribs had a great flavor as well, but were on the long and skinny side with not a lot of meat. Overall, I prefer Black's ribs better.

However, all in all, can and will definitely go back when I am passing through Austin / San Antonio. Only downside? Accepts cash only, which means I couldn't expense it for work.

Next up, Kreuz Market.

Ribs I have had the few times I've been have always been large. He said its a special count? Size. It's hot as fire walking in but the dining room is normally ice cold.

Need to try the shoulder clod.

I will next time. Wanted to try the sausage this time, but I couldn't muster it. And I'm still full from this afternoon.

It will fill you up that's for sure. For some reason I'm just not a big fan of that Texas sausage and to me most all taste the same. I quit wasting valuable space with it.

And I'll say again the chopped beef sandwich at Chisolm Trail is phenomenal.

I have a property located on the Chisholm Trail in Round Rock. Is this the same trail? If so, just how far does it extend?
