Estimating about 45-50 cigars a year, started out on flavored ones mostly but now usually prefer the natural / traditional ones. I try different ones but tend to stick with a few more so than others that still offer some variety in taste, time, strength, and feel.

Oliva V, CAO Brazilia & MX2, Camacho Triple & Corojo, Cuban Cohiba Maduro 5 & Siglo VI, Montecristo 2 and White, Drew Estate Kuba Kuba & Java, Davidoff Nicaragua.

Why? I just like the experience with the relaxation, aroma, complexity, conversation, etc.

Not to barge in but Behike 52's and Siglo III series are the way to go in Cohiba's IMHO.

Just make sure your pocketbook is ready for the 52's

One of those and a glass of Blanton's make for a very nice end to any day.

I’ve tried to get into cigars. Smoked one the other night with a bourbon and it was enjoyable. But I felt like dogshit afterwards. The cigar was a Perdomo Habano Connecticut that the cigar shop recommended. Any tips besides stop being a pussy?

You're not inhaling, right?

Also, eat before you smoke and make it something hearty. A steak and then a cigar with bourbon is a good combo.

And stick to lighter shade and mellower cigars. Pick up an Undercrown Shade.

Have not had the luxury of trying a Behike as of yet or the Siglo III, but do like the Siglo VI quite a bit.

For me I haven't convinced myself to spend $60 to $75 for a cigar yet, my special occasion ones are usually in the $28-$38 range. But do plan on splurging one of these days.

I've also heard drinking some orange juice helps. Doesn't go well with the bourbon though.

Something about the sugar.

Lol no, I’m a rookie but I do know better than that.

Wife has a girls night out this Thursday so I’m gonna cook a steak and drink some bourbon. I’ll give it another shot and see how it goes. Thanks for the rec I’ll check with my shop and see if they have it.

Finally got to play a round of golf yesterday in the bute weather. Sucked down two punches and a LFD double ligero.

Are you saying you had 3 stoges in one round?

Probably easier to mention some recent notables than try to list all that I like.

Macanudo Inspirado Black. Damn fine. Flavor on the cocoa and coffee with pepper side.

Yes. 27 holes actually. I once smoked 7 in one day during a Mga tournament and horserace immediately after. I'm never smoking 7 sticks in one day again.

I mostly smoke AJ Fernandez and Don Pepin as known names, and just about anything that is stronger. Stronger being very subjective. Sometimes sun grown wrappers seems stronger than Oscuro as an example.

I have one every morning, and one about 2-3 PM.

I used to smoke 4 per round of golf, but I'm down to 2 max.

There is really no need to spend 80 per stick, although I have. There are some really outstanding cigars for between 3-10 per stick if you buy them right.

Cool. Just wondering since I’ve heard some really good reviews about them. Montecristo is solid but I’m really liking the Don Carlos line from Arturo Fuente lately.
