Also (away from the lakefront) if you're willing to spend a few $$, the best meal in Covington/Mandeville area is at Del Porto's on Boston Street in Covington

Forgot about Water Street Bistro. It's VERY good and I love that on Sundays, the mimosas and bloddy marys are $2.
