What's the deal with Steamboat Bill's that I see off of West I-10 on the right hand side just before the bridge? I'm wondering because there are always a bunch of cars parked in front of it.

Anyone been there?

There's also Abe's meat market. Not so much a "grocery store" but they make great stuff.

Steamboat Bill's is solid for boiled and fried seafood. Also gumbo when it's cold.

A lot out of the way, but Gillis Grocery just North of Moss Bluff has the best boudin around.
