The cracker crust isn’t my preference, but it’s fine if other people like it. With that said, I do find it amusing that Lafayette is trying to claim it. “Roman style” pizza has been around for a long, long time. And using local ingredients as toppings is hardly unique the world over.

With all of that said, I haven’t had a Marie Laveau in years… might need to remedy that soon.

Lafayette is a great town and has a style all its own as well as its noted pizza. Too many towns in too many states have nothing but strip mall and chain food options. Not Lafayette.
